Carnival of Venice

Carnival of Venezia (Carnival of Venice) is a fun festival celebrated with its masks and colorful outfits dating back to the 13th century. Throughout the carnival, people are worn out of Venice masks and stranded in Venetian streets with colorful costumes. The Venetian Carnival is thought to have begun after the plague epidemic affecting the city in the 13th century. People affected by the swelling and destroying their bodies wander in the city wearing long costumes and wearing masks. Over time, these clothes and masks become more colorful. These masks, which are integrated with the people of Venice and become a symbol, are called Venice Mask.

The most important events of the Venetian Carnival are three flights: the Angel Fly, the Eagle Fly and the Lion Fly. These symbolic flights descend from the top of a high hoist with the help of ropes, the activities that local people are most waiting for and meaning. Carnival is not just daytime, but also nights. Fireworks displays, concerts and shows in various squares are running all night long.
